Rider training
One day and your GS stops being a road bike. Standing position, cornering on loose surfaces, braking and hill starts on closed tracks. From CZK 5,500, no licence needed.
CZK 5,500 (approx. €220) on your own bike · CZK 8,800 (approx. €350) with a BMW from us. Lunch is included either way.

Most people buy a GS and then spend seven years riding it on tarmac, because the moment the road turns to gravel they turn round. This day exists to put an end to that.
Standing position. Almost everything off-road starts with how you stand on the pegs: knees to the tank, elbows up, weight low, hands relaxed. Get that right and the bike underneath you stops producing surprises.
Then we add cornering on loose ground, braking on a surface that does not grip, and throttle control, which off-road steers the bike more than the handlebars do. The afternoon is hills: the climb, the stop halfway up, and the restart. That is the discipline where riders drop their bike most often, and the one that, once you have it, takes the fear away for good.
On your own bike the day costs CZK 5,500 (approx. €220). With a BMW from us (an F 900 GS or R 1300 GS) it is CZK 8,800 (approx. €350). Either way the price covers the full day of training, the free riding, the skills competition and a buffet lunch.
The bikes are insured with a minimal excess, so you will not spend the day protecting the paintwork. You do not need a motorcycle licence either, because we ride on closed tracks.
Our instructors speak English, so this works as a proper BMW off-road training day whether you fly in from the UK or ride over from Germany. Depending on the date we ride the motocross tracks at Mohelnice, Šiklův mlýn or Třebíz, and we can point you at accommodation nearby.
We hand out bikes and body armour, then set up levers and pegs. If this is your first time on a big enduro, you ride the field before we head to the track.
The foundation of everything else. You learn to stand on the pegs so the bike works underneath you instead of you fighting it with your arms.
Turning on loose surfaces, steering with the rear wheel, using the throttle as a steering input rather than just a go button.
Front and rear brake on dirt, gravel and while leaned over. Where the limit of grip is, and how to feel it before you find it.
Climbing, stopping mid-slope and setting off again uphill. This is the single most common place people drop a bike off-road.
You ride the track in one continuous run, then sit down with the instructor and agree what is worth working on next.

Yes. Most people start with us from zero. We begin on a light bike on soft ground, where a fall costs nothing, and build up from there. No previous experience is needed.
For off-road training, for the closed race track and for experience rides you do not need a licence, because we ride away from public roads. You only need one where we go out on the road (road tours and expeditions).
Yes. We have the largest BMW test fleet in the Czech Republic and bike hire is part of most courses and expeditions. All bikes are insured with a minimal excess. You are also welcome to come on your own machine.

We ride in the rain. Riding in the wet is valuable experience and off road it is often the most fun. We only cancel in extreme weather, when riding would not be safe, and in that case we offer you an alternative date.
On the weekend training and the multi-day combined training, yes. You stay in a twin room with a shared bathroom and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. On the week-long camp accommodation is not included; we can recommend it from roughly 3 000 CZK (approx. 120 EUR) for the whole stay.
On tarmac we ride at the race track in Vysoké Mýto. Off road we use the motocross tracks at Mohelnice, Šiklův mlýn, Třebíz, Horní Újezd, Benátky u Litomyšle and Ostrov u Lanškrouna. Trial is ridden in Dolní Čermná, and the base for the week-long camps is Desná u Litomyšle. The exact venue is always shown with the published date.
