Who it is for

  • Riders who are not comfortable in a group and want to train their own way
  • Riders with one specific problem, be it hills, braking on loose ground or picking the bike up
  • Complete beginners, including children, who do not hold a licence yet

What to expect

Group courses are excellent right up to the point where you need something specific. If hill starts are your problem, you do not want to wait while five other people have a go at them. In private BMW GS off-road training, you never do.

A day built around you

We call you beforehand and you tell us what you need: to learn from zero, to fix your standing position, to stop dreading loose surfaces, to be able to pick up a fallen GS on your own. The instructor builds the day from that. If it does not work the first time, you simply go again, because there are only the two of you out there.

No licence needed

We ride on closed motocross tracks, so a motorcycle licence is not a requirement. The youngest rider we have taught was eleven. We choose the bike by your height and strength, not by the catalogue.

Length and price

There are three options: 3 hours (15:00 to 18:00), 6 hours (9:00 to 15:00) or 9 hours (9:00 to 18:00). You ride alone with the instructor, with nobody else in the session.

The price depends on the length. Write or call and we will give you a figure straight away, with no forms and no waiting. Bike hire is included, so you do not need a machine of your own. Our instructors speak English, so one-to-one enduro training works perfectly well if you are visiting from abroad.

Itinerary

  1. Before the day

    We give you a call

David answers the phone, not a call centre. We talk about what you can do and what is bothering you, then build the day around it.

  2. Start

    The right bike for you

We pick a bike to suit your height and experience, set the levers and pegs, and hand you body armour.

  3. Core

    Training on your topic only

No waiting for a group to take its turn. You ride, the instructor corrects, you ride again. We repeat it until it clicks.

  4. Wrap-up

    Where to go next

What to practise on your own, and whether a second day or a move onto the circuit would be worth it.

FAQ

What is the minimum age?

You can come to our training and experience rides without a driving licence. The youngest participant of our week-long camp was 11 years old. A licence follows the statutory age limits (A2 from 18, unrestricted A from 24, or from 20 after two years on A2).

Can I manage it if I have never sat on a motorcycle?

Yes. Most people start with us from zero. We begin on a light bike on soft ground, where a fall costs nothing, and build up from there. No previous experience is needed.

Do I need a driving licence?

For off-road training, for the closed race track and for experience rides you do not need a licence, because we ride away from public roads. You only need one where we go out on the road (road tours and expeditions).

Can I hire a motorcycle from you?

Yes. We have the largest BMW test fleet in the Czech Republic and bike hire is part of most courses and expeditions. All bikes are insured with a minimal excess. You are also welcome to come on your own machine.

Do you lend me a motorcycle, or do I have to bring my own?

It differs from service to service. Experience rides: we lend the bikes, you go through five of them during the ride. Off-road training: 5 500 CZK on your own bike, 8 800 CZK with our BMW. Weekend off-road training: 13 000 CZK on your own, 18 000 CZK with our BMW. Private race track training: you ride your own motorcycle, ours can be arranged in advance for an extra charge. Private off-road training: bike hire is included. Expeditions: the bike and all fuel are included.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing for the weather, sturdy boots and a willingness to learn. We lend you the protective kit: helmet, gloves, body armour, knee guards and boots.

How much does it cost?

The fixed prices: experience ride on the track and off road 8 899 CZK · off-road training 5 500 CZK on your own bike, 8 800 CZK with our BMW · weekend off-road training 13 000 CZK, or 18 000 CZK with our BMW · private race track training 3 hours for 10 000 CZK, 6 hours for 15 000 CZK · week-long camp 60 000 CZK · tailor-made expedition from 59 000 CZK · motorcycle hire in Spain 4 500 CZK a day. As a rough guide, 25 CZK is about 1 EUR. For the other services the price depends on the date and the option, so write to us and we will send it straight back.

Do I need my own riding kit?

No. On our courses we lend you a helmet, gloves, body armour, knee guards and riding boots. If you have your own kit, bring it. On experience rides protectors are lent by prior arrangement for an extra 500 CZK (approx. 20 EUR).
