Who it is for

  • Beginners who want to learn off-road properly rather than just sample it
  • Riders from the one-day course who found one day was not enough
  • Groups of friends looking for a weekend that beats another night in the pub

What to expect

In one day off-road you learn what to do. In two days you start doing it without thinking. That is the whole difference.

Saturday: the basics

Standing position, throttle control, cornering on loose ground, braking. On Saturday we will nag you about things that look trivial, right up to the moment you work out that they are exactly the things that make the bike get away from you off-road.

Sunday: hills and flow

We start the morning on the hills. The climb, the stop on the slope, the restart. In the afternoon you ride the track in one run and everything from Saturday finally comes together. Most people leave on Sunday evening already planning to do it again.

What is in the price

Accommodation in twin rooms with a shared bathroom, and meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner), are included. The Horní Újezd track is 800 metres from the accommodation, so there is no commuting.

On your own bike the weekend costs CZK 13,000 (approx. €520). With a BMW from us (an F 900 GS or R 1300 GS) it is CZK 18,000 (approx. €720), and that includes all the fuel.

Our instructors speak English, so the whole weekend runs just as well for international riders. If you are travelling for off-road or enduro training in the Czech Republic, two days here are worth far more than two single days months apart.

FAQ

What is the minimum age?

You can come to our training and experience rides without a driving licence. The youngest participant of our week-long camp was 11 years old. A licence follows the statutory age limits (A2 from 18, unrestricted A from 24, or from 20 after two years on A2).

Can I manage it if I have never sat on a motorcycle?

Yes. Most people start with us from zero. We begin on a light bike on soft ground, where a fall costs nothing, and build up from there. No previous experience is needed.

Do I need a driving licence?

For off-road training, for the closed race track and for experience rides you do not need a licence, because we ride away from public roads. You only need one where we go out on the road (road tours and expeditions).

Can I hire a motorcycle from you?

Yes. We have the largest BMW test fleet in the Czech Republic and bike hire is part of most courses and expeditions. All bikes are insured with a minimal excess. You are also welcome to come on your own machine.

Do you lend me a motorcycle, or do I have to bring my own?

It differs from service to service. Experience rides: we lend the bikes, you go through five of them during the ride. Off-road training: 5 500 CZK on your own bike, 8 800 CZK with our BMW. Weekend off-road training: 13 000 CZK on your own, 18 000 CZK with our BMW. Private race track training: you ride your own motorcycle, ours can be arranged in advance for an extra charge. Private off-road training: bike hire is included. Expeditions: the bike and all fuel are included.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing for the weather, sturdy boots and a willingness to learn. We lend you the protective kit: helmet, gloves, body armour, knee guards and boots.

How much does it cost?

The fixed prices: experience ride on the track and off road 8 899 CZK · off-road training 5 500 CZK on your own bike, 8 800 CZK with our BMW · weekend off-road training 13 000 CZK, or 18 000 CZK with our BMW · private race track training 3 hours for 10 000 CZK, 6 hours for 15 000 CZK · week-long camp 60 000 CZK · tailor-made expedition from 59 000 CZK · motorcycle hire in Spain 4 500 CZK a day. As a rough guide, 25 CZK is about 1 EUR. For the other services the price depends on the date and the option, so write to us and we will send it straight back.

Do I need my own riding kit?

No. On our courses we lend you a helmet, gloves, body armour, knee guards and riding boots. If you have your own kit, bring it. On experience rides protectors are lent by prior arrangement for an extra 500 CZK (approx. 20 EUR).
