It started in 2010

In 2010 David Carda, our founder and lead instructor, qualified as a driving-school instructor. A chance of events led him to a driving school, where he and a friend started focusing on motorcycles.

The school fleet of the day was nothing special, so they began lending riders their own machines. These were brand-new KTM 990 Adventure R and KTM EXC 500 bikes. Seeing people enjoy themselves and pick up good fundamentals mattered more than the hardware.

Why we begin off-road

The training took place on a closed, unpaved area. That gives a beginner far more than tarmac: the risk of injury is lower, the rider feels more sure of themselves, and on a motorcycle confidence comes first.

We taught through play and fun, because people learn the most when they are enjoying it. And we are careful that nobody picks up bad habits, which are hard to shake off later. Riders left thrilled and told others. Without a single advert, word of the school spread across the whole country.

How the week-long camps came about

Then came our first truly distant client, Martin. He was not riding tens of kilometres to us but hundreds, and he was short on time. Lessons worked out roughly once a month, and whatever he learned he had forgotten by the next one.

The turning point came when he joined us on a trip to Ukraine. Five days in the saddle in a row, huge progress every single day. In one week he learned more than in the several months before. That is how the week-long camps were born: intensive training where progress adds up day by day. First bike control off-road, then the tarmac circuit at Vysoké Mýto, and finally real traffic.

You learn from the best

Most courses are also visited by Martin Matějíček, a multiple Czech trial champion, and Martin Krátký, European stunt-riding champion. Alongside them stands David, a graduate of the BMW Motorrad Instructor Academy, and Anna Cardová, winner of the international GS Trophy.

They are instructors, not entertainers. Most of them have a racing career or a national title behind them, and all of them can explain the things others take for granted.
