Who it is for

  • People who want to ride properly, not just pass a test
  • Riders with no licence who want a week in the saddle and a category A licence at the end
  • Children from 11, women and men. You have nothing to prove here.

What to expect

Seven days, in the saddle every one of them. Roughly 30 hours of riding in total: two days off-road, two days on the road and off it, one day on the race circuit and one day of moto gymkhana. The camp is the fastest way to turn somebody who has never sat on a motorcycle into a rider the bike no longer troubles. It is equally the fastest way to strip out the bad habits you have collected over ten years of riding.

The camp takes 15 participants.

Price and payment

The camp costs CZK 60,000 (approx. €2,400). You pay a CZK 15,000 (approx. €600) deposit when you book. It is non-refundable and tied to that specific date. The remaining CZK 45,000 (approx. €1,800) is due before you arrive. The bike, the kit, the instructors and the whole programme are included.

Accommodation is not included. We will recommend options from around CZK 3,000 (approx. €120) for the entire week in a shared room, up to a hotel.

A licence at the end, if you want one

The camp can finish with the category A or A2 licence test, and we will handle the driving-school application for you. But be clear: this is not a licence mill with the legal minimum of hours. Most people come here to learn to ride. The certificate is a bonus. (For riders from abroad, the Czech licence route only makes sense if you are resident here. Ask us and we will tell you honestly.)

From age eleven, and for women

Our youngest camper was eleven. Children get a smaller bike, ride only on closed tracks and take no test. Women can try a one-day taster for CZK 3,000 (approx. €120) first, and if you then sign up for the full camp, those three thousand come off the price.

Where it is

The base is in Desná near Litomyšl, in eastern Bohemia, about two and a half hours from Prague. From there we ride out to the local motocross tracks, to the trial park in Dolní Čermná and to the race circuit in Vysoké Mýto. Our instructors speak English, so the camp works perfectly well if you are not Czech.

FAQ

What is the minimum age?

You can come to our training and experience rides without a driving licence. The youngest participant of our week-long camp was 11 years old. A licence follows the statutory age limits (A2 from 18, unrestricted A from 24, or from 20 after two years on A2).

Can I manage it if I have never sat on a motorcycle?

Yes. Most people start with us from zero. We begin on a light bike on soft ground, where a fall costs nothing, and build up from there. No previous experience is needed.

What should I bring?

Comfortable clothing for the weather, sturdy boots and a willingness to learn. We lend you the protective kit: helmet, gloves, body armour, knee guards and boots.

How much does the camp cost in total, including accommodation?

The camp costs 60 000 CZK (approx. 2 400 EUR). Accommodation and meals are not included. We can arrange accommodation from roughly 3 000 CZK (approx. 120 EUR) for the whole stay in a shared room, and we also have more comfortable options.

Are accommodation and meals included on the multi-day courses?

On the weekend training and the multi-day combined training, yes. You stay in a twin room with a shared bathroom and breakfast, lunch and dinner are included. On the week-long camp accommodation is not included; we can recommend it from roughly 3 000 CZK (approx. 120 EUR) for the whole stay.

Where is the week-long camp held?

Our base is Desná u Litomyšle. During the week we move to the motocross tracks nearby, to the trial course in Dolní Čermná and to the race track in Vysoké Mýto.

How do I pay for the camp?

A booking is confirmed with a deposit of 15 000 CZK (approx. 600 EUR), which is non-refundable and tied to that date. The balance of 45 000 CZK (approx. 1 800 EUR) is due before you arrive. You can also pay the whole amount at once.

What if I cannot take part after all?

Get in touch as soon as you can. In most cases we move your date, or you can send someone in your place. For the week-long camp the 15 000 CZK deposit is non-refundable and tied to the date. Details are in our terms and conditions.
